I am a creative with a penchant for writing, design, and digital marketing. I work as a freelance writer covering technology, and love to work on advertising and marketing campaigns in my free time. With over two years of experience in journalism and digital marketing, I have worked on a diverse range of projects that include writing data and tech stories, creating advertising campaigns from scratch, and crunching numbers for media campaigns. My first stint as a journalist, which was also my first full-fledged internship, was at The Hindu Businessline, where I worked as a sub-editor and reported on topics like AI, infotech, human interest, and economy. I had the opportunity to write data stories that included in-depth data analysis and working with large datasets. I also undertook SEO projects to boost online viewership for the digital newspaper, and produced podcasts and videos.
Freelance writing can be great fun when you are in love with what you are writing about. Writing a few articles and poems for Gaysi, a digital publication for 2SLGBTQIA+, is my living testament for this.
